Great price / performance tradeoff
Purchasedthis for a quick job this month ... As usually, the Amazon seconds day shipping was quick .. Setting up the tripods and cross bar was simple... The construction was okay, not super duty but that would add a lot of weight that is not desired. The three colors of backdrop are nice...can choose as needed. Black is what I needed, but may use green croma key too...I imagine the white may come in handy for a portable projection screen someday. The whole unit packs down small for flights. On the road, I imagine the wrinkles will require a hotel iron or portible steamer. 2010-09-06

QUICK FIX
Great set up for beginners/students in high school.
Stands are lower quality, light, they tip very easy need sand bags to hold them down, crossbar barely is 9ft across, stand height not quite 9 ft. "muslin" more like 100 thread count bed sheets are very see through. and not 12ft
But this set up is a quick fix until the bogens come in.

Great deal for the price!
I recently recieved this set. I must say user reviews helped but made me doubt. The panels are on the thin side but if you double them up it's fine. The creases were a problem but there is a very quick fix. Place in your clother dryer on low heat for about 30 minutes, it worked well and did an over all good job.I also used clamps when doing chroma key which took the remaining wrinkles out. Set up was easy too. Stands are light weight but remember people this set cost under $200.00 with S&H. I was happy with the still shots and chroma key work I did. If your looking for a good afordable back drop set have no doubt, this is worth it! 2010-05-04

VALUE is the Key Word . . .
See my images shared above. For the "weekend professional," this should suit your needs. Wrinkles aren't a big problem in post-work, and sixty seconds with the burn and dodge tools is a lot cheaper than a set of thicker muslins. Wrinkles aren't much of an issue with the chroma-key green since you'll only be selecting it and inverting your selection to extract your subject . . . right? 2010-05-01

Ok product, crappy customer service.
I had no illusions of the product I was buying, but I did expect to get everything I ordered. Like many people I was shorted a Black Muslin, however the worst part is that you get completely ignored by both the manufacture and Amazon. Ive been going through the Amazon A-Z process for 3 weeks now with no reply from either.
The construction of the stands is flimsy and the Muslins are creased so hard that it takes 3 full washes and dryings to get them out.
I will never buy a product from this manufacture again because of there Customer No Service. Wish I would have read the reviews first because there are a ton of people all over saying that being short a Black Muslin and being ignored by the manufacture is far too common.
EDIT:
One day after posting this review the Black Muslin arrives at my house. The shipment was dated 4 days ago and if Cowboy Studios would have replied to my emails then I would have known about it, hence I leave the review as it stands. Though Im happy I finally got what I paid for, this whole experience was unnecessary.
