I got this filter for use with my Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras and have been fairly satisfied with it. I am not sure how much of UV protection this filter gets - my primary purpose was to get something that protects my lens under the everyday working conditions. The built of the filter feels very solid and I trust it to get the protection job done. I use the zoom lens primarily outdoors in non-direct natural light, so I have not experienced any of the light reflection problems that other reviewers have had.

Been using it for a month now. Its paired with a Canon EOS Lens 18-55m kit lens for a Canon T1i. Over 500 shots with it and it works flawlessly
