Flip UltraHD Camcorder, 120 Minutes (Black)

I was so excited to buy this camera and had high hopes for it to be something I used all the time. I have a VERY minor issue that should have been resolved in minutes and I am on my FOURTH day of calling and trying, unsuccessfully, to get any customer service help.

All I need is to have them send me the email verification that will allow me to activate their system. I have tried six different email addresses, with NO SPAM FILTERS, and their system is not generating the verification email. But no one seems to be able to help me with this...no one. I build and host websites and am pretty techie and know where to look for possible diverted emails.

What should have been a fun, easy to use product is now a complete annoyance and source of frustration. I saw they had two stars on their website for customer service and now I know why.

Think long and hard about buying an item that has little or no REAL customer support. If I had it to do over again, I would have just bought a better camera that shot video or waited for Verizon to finally get the iPhone. I REGRET BUYING THIS ITEM!!!! Maybe I can find the box and re-gift it - hehehehe.

This is my first Flip or any device like the Flip, and I think it is great. Yes, it would be even better with a stronger zoom, wider lens, and image stabilization, but for what it is, it is great.
It's small enough to be easily portable but not easily lost. Fits in my camera bag like it was meant to be there. I have used it on a mono-pod to record walking scenery and the video was hilarious. I've attached it to a golf cart and recorded driving around the course and my buddy's swing. It is easy and quick to grab when my cats are doing something entertaining. Even used it to document the damage FedEx did to a package and sent the video to the shipper. It is just a great fun device. It is by no means the end all be all, but it is lighter, easier to carry and use than a full sized HD video camera.

This product does very well for the money. Be very cautious in ordering. Amazon will not honor their promotional offers applying to this product purchase. Communication with Amazon's Customer Service is a nightmare, you will not get satisfaction or a full refund if you return the item. Amazon will deduct excessive shipping charges. Go elsewhere.

This product is what it is. Simple, quick and easy to use. I am disappointed with the limited zoom. I would not buy this again as it just doesn't get the detail from even reasonably close distance shots, say 25 to 50 yards. Bought it specifically to film son's AIT graduation and I had to run up to the stage practically to even be able to see him. Other than that one lack, the camera is so easy to use I highly recommend it for anyone technically challenged.

One other issue I experienced, the USB flips out the side of the camera - this limits how you plug it in, it can't just hang off the side of your computer, depending where you USB port is located in relation to a stable surface - it may need some support placed under it. I recommend an extension cable - would make things much easier.

I bought my flip camera a couple months ago. I picked this one over the mino because I liked the fact that i could use regular batteries if the rechargeable one died.

I have an JAV everio that i bought in 2006. I only used it a hand full of times because i was not very happy with the quality of the videos. I was disappointed because the camera was kind of expensive and left a lot to be desired.

Because of my bad experience with the everio i wasnt sure if i should get a camera with a build in hd. I spent months reading reviews and listening to people talk about how much they loved their flip before i finally decided to buy one of my own. I figured it was less than $200 i wouldnt be out much money if i didnt like it.

The first day i used it i fell in love. I tried it in low light and the picture quality was still pretty amazing. I bought a tripod to use with it to make the video even more clear. I would upload the videos to facebook and friends would all comment on the quality of the video and said they too wanted to buy a flip.

Now my husband is deployed and i can upload videos for him to watch and he loves being able to see our kids everyday.

This has probably been the best $150 i have ever spent!
